Since opening the new clinic at Crowther House in Buxton in 2020, Care For Feet has seen increased demand for it’s Podiatry services.
According to Jo:
“We always envisaged using all the space at Buxton to accomodate more of our patients while also offering alternative healthcare services”.
The added clinical space now allows for more appointments and a wider variety of treatments for Buxton patients, who range from the elderly to young babies and the vulnerable or people with learning difficulties.

The Breakthrough treatment for Troublesome Verrucae
Swift has been developed in the UK and licenced for the general treatment of skin lesions in podiatry and dermatology.
A study lead by Ivan Bristow found that 75.9% of recalcitrant plantar warts with an average lesion duration of over five years cleared.
This compares well to previous studies using cryotherapy or salicylic acid of just 23-33% resolution.
At each appointment, the verruca is examined, photographed and measurements noted in your file.
The area is prepared prior to the procedure by debriding overlying callus from the verruca with a sterile scalpel blade.
A new probe applicator tip is used for each patient to prevent cross contamination.
During the treatment patients have reported moderate discomfort for up to 2 seconds. The verruca may be treated 3-5 times during this session. If you have several warts, they can also be treated at the same time.
Afterwards there is no dressing required or down time. Normal activities can continue, and you can drive home afterwards. There is usually no post procedural pain experienced.
