Footscan Gait and Motion Technology Now Available
At Care for Feet we use Footscan Gait and Motion technology.
Footscan has been utilised in more than 3,000 scientific studies and is trusted by elite sports teams worldwide, from Team GB to Manchester City FC.
Footscan is the first and only gait analysis technology to be ‘Professionally Approved’ by the Royal College of Podiatry, meaning that it meets the highest professional clinical standards.
What does it do?
Footscan measures areas of pressure and overload, force distribution across you foot, any asymmetries between left and right and dynamic movement patterns during walking and running
-
Useful in identifying abnormal loading patterns in the body.
-
Detecting excessive pressure or poor shock absorption
-
Understand how foot mechanics has an affect on the rest of the body

Why is Footscan analysis useful?
This level of detail improves diagnostic accuracy and helps guide more effective treatment. Not only useful for acute injuries but long standing issues relating to the lower limb such as:
- Osteoarthrits and joint pain
- Heel pain
- Achilles and ankle injuries
- Shin Splints
- Knee, hip, or lower back pain influenced by foot mechanics
- Sports and running-related issues
Accurate Assessment.
Accurate assessment can aid rehabilitation and treatment options such as strength and mobility exercises, load management strategies, 3D printed orthoses, footwear advice, corticosteroid injections and laser therapy.
Phits 3D printed orthoses.
Once we have your Footscan results, we can decide on the best treatment plan for you which may inlcude a pair of Phits 3D printed orthotics, designed directly from your Footscan data.
Unlike traditional orthotics, which are made from static impressions, Phits are based on your dynamic movement. They’re precise to 0.1mm, lightweight, and can be tailored to fit anything from running trainers to work boots.
Baiobit Gait and Motion Technology
The future of clinical and functional evaluations.
Objective evaluation of movement and biofeedback exercise fo rehabilitation and return to sport and activity.
Baiobit evaluates the dynamic movement of the pelvis in all three planes; tilt, obliquity and rotation, providing the range of motion, maximum and minimum pelvic angles, alongside the normative range during walking, running and balancing.
Can be used for assessment post surgery, sport, rehabilitation, neurologial issues and muscular and skeletal issues.
Applications:
- Gait and Balance
Walk and equilibrium evaluation to create tailor-made rehabilitative programs.
- Range of Motion
Instrumental and accurate analysis of joint range of motion.
- Return to play
Support in the path to recover from a sports injury.

Footscan Gait and Motion Technology
Footscan Lower Limb & Foot Assessment £120.00
This appointment is ideal for those suffering from pain or function
problems associated with the lower limb and foot.
Footscan and Treadmill Analysis £150.00
If you are a keen runner or athlete the Footscan with Treadmill Gait
Analysis is ideal.
With over 20 years experience Musculoskeletal Specialist Podiatrist,
Graeme Carter will conduct a static and dynamic assessment of your lower
limb including a Footscan to measure pressure and load distribution
alongside treadmill video evaluation. Graeme will analyse your running
style to assess your foot and lower limb which may highlight the cause
of your discomfort, pain or fatigue.
You may be prescribed foot orthoses, strength and stretching exercise as
part of the complex rehabilitation treatment plan.
Biomechanical problems associated with the lower limb may include pain
in the lower back, hip, knee, shin, Achilles, ankle, heel or general
foot joint or arch discomfort.
Advanced Footscan and Baiobit including treadmill gait analysis £175.00
Musculoskeletal Specialist Podiatrist Graeme Carter has over 20 years
experience enabling him to conduct a thorough static and dynamic
assessment of your lower limb.
This assessment can be used for sports injuries, rehabilitation, post
surgery, neurological, muscular or skeletal issues.
Footscan measures pressure and load distribution across your foot and
analyses any asymmetries between left and right alongside dynamic
movement patterns during walking and running.
Baiobit evaluates the dynamic movement of the pelvis in all three
planes; tilt, obliquity and rotation. This provides the range of motion,
maxiumu and minimum pelvic angles alongside normative range during
walking, running and balancing. Graeme will assess your gait during
walkiing and running (if required) on the treadmill.
